The judge Paula Abdul had tears in his eyes told how good she used to watch Solid Gold Dancers from the 1980s show, when it was like to grow. She told them they were such an inspiration. Paula Abdul gave them a gold star at first, but the judges Kimberly Wyatt and Travis Payne, gave them the red stars.
Two or more gold stars for judges to move a participant to the short list for the semi-finals, while 2 or more red stars means better luck next time. A judge has a chance to change her voice, and the first night and only a change of Travis Payne, who has yielded to public pressure for a trio of aging former Solid Gold dancers.
