Macho Man Randy Savage dead in a car accident on Park Boulevard

The former professional wrestler Randy "Macho Man" Savage, whose real name is Randall Mario Poffo, died in a car accident Friday when he crashed head-on into a tree on Park Boulevard after a heart attack at the wheel. He was 58 years old. Barbara Poffo, 56, his wife, was a passenger was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with minor injuries.

During his career that last more than two decades, the six-time champion of World Wrestling Federation heavyweight strutted his stuff in bright dresses cut to show off his muscles and the body of his championship belt. According to the website WWE, Savage was the No. 1 the whole time and has a higher level of credibility for the title with his incredible performance in-ring.

Savage has suffered a medical event, but this can’t be determined until an autopsy is performed, according to a statement drawn up by the patrol. His brother Lanny Poffo, said Savage had a heart attack while driving.
