Katie Couric expected to launch her own syndicated talk show in 2012

Katie Couric, CBS Evening News anchor, will leave her post on the "CBS Evening News" after less than five years on the job, according to reports. Sources said that Couric will leave her post at CBS to continue to work less restrictive job. Her CBS News contract expires on June 4. However, discussions are underway to determine who will replace Couric on the evening newscast.

Couric has not formally announced her plans reported of the Associated Press on Sunday. TMZ is reporting that Katie Couric is in talks to make her own syndicated program in late 2012 and several companies are competing for her services.
