Red Tibetan Mastiff | The World's Most Expensive Dog | Sold For $1.5 Million

Red Dog Tibetan Mastiff became the most expensive in the world after it was purchased in China by 10 billion yuan (just over $ 1.5 million). They have increasingly higher status as a status symbol to represent the welfare of China. Although details of the sale are confidential, the vendor revealed that the coal baron multi-millionaire in northern China has bought the Tibetan mastiff, known affectionately as Big Splash or Hong Dong in Chinese.

Aaccording to farmer Lu Liang, Big Splash is a perfect speciment and the extravagant price for the 11 month old is quite justified "We have invested heavily in this breed of dog, and we have plenty of staff salaries to pay". He said.

Tibetans believe dogs have souls of monks and nuns who are not good enough to be reincarnated as human beings or of Shambhala, the celestial kingdom.
