Kate Middleton See Through Dress Finally Went Over $125,000

Kate Middleton’s see-through dress, which she wore at a charity fashion show in 2002 at St Andrews University where her fiancee Prince William was in the audience when Middleton hit the bridge wearing a black dress with lingerie, was auctioned off on Thursday. Dress eventually went to 65,000 pounds, plus 13 000 pounds buyer’s fee. Kerry Taylor, London auctioneer had estimated the knitted dress was between £ 8000 and £ 10 000. The dress is made of knitted black-and-gold silk with turquoise blue bands at the top and bottom.

The buyer's agent doesn’t identify the buyer as "Nick from Jersey, an island in the Channel between England and France. Buyer bid by telephone through a representative is on the back of the room. He said of the buyer: “He thinks it’s an iconic piece and is very happy with the purchase.”
