Jeremy Shockey Released by New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints released Veteran tight end Jeremy Shockey, who won a Super Bowl with the Saints in the 2009 season. They acquired from the Giants in 2008, after his least productive season and had three touchdowns and 408 receiving yards during an injury-hampered 2010 campaign in which he missed three of the team's games.

"It's a business, I understand. I'll just go play hard for someone else. Whoever gets me it's going to be a steal." Shockey said.

The Giants drafted in the first round of the 2002 draft, the Saints acquired Shockey trade in New York before the 2008 season and has spent the last three years in New Orleans.

Many teams have taken place outside of the release of NFL players until a new contract of employment is made. On March 3, the CBA expires and therefore no new teams players until a new signature. Shockey cut it now has the opportunity to sign with another team before 3 March! The schedule could be beneficial for Shockey.
