Erin Brockovich movie :Hexavalent chromium-6 in Drinking Water

The Erin Brockovich movie starring Julia Roberts, who painted a city full of cancer due to bad company? Work of pure fiction and not based on real events. The city, after all these years, does not show the cancer cluster. A new report says hazardous chemical made famous by the movie “Erin Brockovich "is running on drinking water in this area.

This is called Hexavalent chromium-6. Yet it is still not regulated by EPA and local water companies do not even test for it. Now tests by the Environmental Working Group shows 31 U.S. cities have measurable chromium-6 in their tapwater. Chromium 6 is used in stainless steel production, leather tanning, wood preservation and coloring textiles. It’s known to cause stomach cancer and leukemia.
