Amy Locane Accused Of aggravated manslaughter In Fatal Car Crash

Amy Locane, former Melrose Place star was indicted for aggravated manslaughter stemming from a fatal vehicle accident while she was under the influence of alcohol. She also received a charge of assault by auto. Locan killed Helen Seeman Locane when she smashed the passenger side of the vehicle, Montgomery, NJ last June. Locan faces a 5-year maximum sentence for the assault charge and 10 to 30 years for the manslaughter charge.

Locane’s attorney Blair Zwillman tells TMZ he’s “surprised” at the aggravated manslaughter charge, adding, “I don’t believe it is supported by the law or the facts and I think it constitutes over-reaching by the prosecutor’s office.”
