Ellis hobbs Had Suffered a Neck Injury

The Eagles defensive back Ellis Hobbs had suffered a neck injury. He left the field on a stretcher after taking a hit to the helmet on the second-half kickoff return against the Giants. But that he had full movement of his extremities and that X-rays were negative. Eagles coach Andy Reid said after Sunday night’s 27-17 victory in the New York Giants that Hobbs should do an MRI on Monday.

The Eagles may be a little rusty after the short week, had a slow start - by their standards. They scored touchdowns on each of their first five possessions against the Redskins last week and have hit records opening of season five. But there was a three in his first series against the Giants.
