Legionnaires' Disease Found in Aria Resort, Las Vegas

Southern Nevada Health District officials have found Legionnaires' disease at Aria, the hotel-casino at CityCenter. Six cases of bacterial pneumonia was spread to track the Las Vegas hotel is reported to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.

The bacterium was found in three rooms, and none of the 4000 rooms were closed, and "there would be no reason to do so." Alan Feldman, senior vice president of public affairs, said.

The patients were successfully treated and fully recovered, said Stephanie Bethel Southern District of Nevada Heath, who was notified of cases by the CDC.

The Legionnaires is a potentially fatal infectious disease and can be very serious, that can cause the death of 5 to 30 percent of cases. Most cases can be treated successfully with antibiotics, and healthy people usually recover from infection. The Centers for Disease Control reported.
